The overall R&D process for this application spanned more than 2-years as a side hobby. Official implementation time took 3 months with continuous updates beyond the handover date.

This is not the first implementation in this field and it won't be the last one. However, the vision for this application was and has always been to cover all gaps and shortcomings from existing solutions.

One point which has been on my mind from day one. Is the process of adding hardware cutouts. Not only that but also providing a simple mechanism for users to view these cutouts on demand. This is where the use of my custom-made visual system comes to into play.




Another aspect where CAD-les shines over other custom-made solutions is the fact that it runs as a stand-alone application. Without being tied to any other subscribtion-based CAD solutions for the sole purpose of generating the drawings.

As it stands right now, CAD-les is used for generation of DXF Cut-list...Would I continue with other design aspects within the engineering cycle like shop-drawing or manufacturing drawings? Possibly. For now, I'm mostly focused on covering non-standard products that comprise 5% of the total load.
